Writing is art

For me, writing has always been an art form, just like music, sculpting, movies, painting, and games, to name a few. Writing, together with all other art forms, is, for me, a way of expressing emotions through my surroundings and using those same surroundings to reflect my interaction and experience with them.
I've been an artist for as long as I can remember, having begun with writing, painting, and sculpting. I loved it back then and still do. Then, I began writing a lot of poetry, and stories meant for only me. It was my way to exhaust the creative outlet I felt I couldn't get out of my system any other way. It was the only relief for the ideas and thoughts that roamed inside.
Writing has been important to me since it also helps get my emotions across. When I paint, there is so much I want my image to say, more than it has room for. But with books, I feel I can express myself much more with words. So I still paint or draw, often mixing it with my writing. When I feel stuck in my writing, I often turn to drawing to help this other art form to find the missing bit of a story.
Games, sculpting, music, movies, paintings, and writing might be different, but they are all vital building blocks that connect the creative center for me. A center called art.
